Facilitators,post highlightsDiscussion about "Rapid" E-Learning Development software and how to choose the right tool:
Agreed that most programs are similar in terms of functionality
Liked tools (like Articulate) that allow user to begin with PowerPoint slides (more efficient if we have something to start with)
In addition to Articulate, others had experience using Lectora and Capt

Welcome! I hope you'll be posting what you learn at the conference, as well as providing your fellow conference attendees with words of wisdom.
The learning labs start tonight, and they will be a great way for us to come together and synthesize the information we've gathered during the day. We certainly started off with a bang at this morning's keynote. And it was a prime example of how all the best instructional design won't help if you don't have a good trainer who can keep things moving despite numerous technical problems.
What ideas do you have about how instructional designers can arm instructors to face difficult situationsduring a live training session?

Welcome! I hope you'll be posting what you learn at the conference, as well as providing your fellow conference attendees with words of wisdom.
The learning labs start tonight, and they will be a great way for us to come together and synthesize the information we've gathered during the day. We certainly started off with a bang at this morning's keynote. And it was a prime example of how all the best instructional design won't help if you don't have a good trainer who can keep things moving despite numerous technical problems.
However, instructional designers can provide instructors with some tools to help them manage such circumstances - alternate media, exercises that are "nice to have" and can be used while technical issues are resolved.
What ideas do you have about how instructional designers can arm instructors to face difficult situationsduring a live training session?
